Pardon the clickbait, but we think you’ll like this one…

At Mile 80 - we love generative AI tools. So much so that we use them on every single project these days. From moodboards with Midjourney to voice over with Eleven Labs, to transcripts and sound EQ with Descript - AI is a BIG part of our studio.

We’re constantly learning new tools, and even purchased a server to run our own ComfyUI workflows. Recently, we even had a fully AI generated visual end up in a fairly big budget commercial, and no one noticed…and we didn’t even call it out 😊

Each and every day AI is becoming more and more a part of our studio. However, we’re not scared. We don’t think it’s coming for our jobs. We think the tools are here to upgrade our capabilities, much like the shift from analogue to digital. Like that moment in the film industry - you have to learn new things to stay on top of the game…BUT…if you do, you'll become even more capable.

Photography didn’t replace painting, it just meant we didn’t need to paint history- and instead we were left with some pretty interesting new styles of artwork. For me personally, and for us as a company - we’re stoked to see where this goes…
