The ASU Core Research Facilities house state-of-the-art equipment, including the Illumina MiSeq. This instrument is a high-performance benchtop gene sequencer that allows for a broad range of sequencing applications. This powerful tool is housed in our Genomics core at the Biodesign Institute on the Tempe campus.
The MiSeq can run automated paired-end reads and has a reads capability that provides over 600 sequence data bases per read. It is an excellent asset for ASU’s microbiome research.
