And yes, we break down the origin story of where the name even came from and why!

Atlanta-based tricking athlete Chris Nado has been pushing the name hard, and it has caught on fast. A lot of trickers think it’s hilarious, a lot think it’s cringey, and everyone keeps asking the same question: is this a joke or are we actually doing this?

People are also worried about Spinjutsu's ties to LEGO's Ninjago and what that does to the culture and history of tricking, since so much of our identity is tied to the name we’ve had for years.

To make it even wilder, Stranger Things star Caleb McLaughlin reposted the Spinjutsu wave, which gave it more mainstream credibility and made the debate (or trolling, hard to tell) even louder.

This is not our typical content, but it’s a movement community moment that’s too funny and too real not to talk about.

We’re joined by Malik Shepherd, fellow Atlanta tricker and Team TrickStrong member, who is also a notorious renamer of things. He’s currently calling dleg “slice” and dleg twist “slicer”.
