A viral video from Varanasi shows a group of 10–15 Muslim youths having an iftar party on a boat in the middle of the Ganga नदी. Allegations surfaced that they consumed chicken biryani and threw bones into the river, hurting religious sentiments. Following a complaint, police arrested 14 individuals under charges including Section 295A and environmental laws. However, authorities say it is not yet confirmed whether anything was actually thrown into the river, and the investigation is ongoing.
