Severe weather warnings remain in place across Melbourne and large parts of Victoria as a weather system from the west brings intense, short-lived rainfall. Multiple locations recorded 20-30 millimetres of rain within 30 minutes to an hour, with Springhill receiving 38.4 millimetres in just over an hour. The system is moving towards far eastern suburbs, causing airport delays due to poor visibility and lightning, with further thunderstorms possible in metro Melbourne until midnight.
