Mike Sharma, MD, MSc, FRCPC, McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada, shares the primary results from the OCEANIC-STROKE trial (NCT05686070) of asundexian for secondary stroke prevention following acute ischemic stroke or high-risk transient ischemic attack. Prof. Sharma highlights a significant reduction in the risk of another ischemic stroke with no increase in bleeding, with a consistent effect across all subgroups. This interview took place at the 2026 International Stroke Congress (ISC), held in New Orleans, LA.
