NOMAD - Nondestructive Evaluation of Material Degradation in Nuclear Power Plants

Описание: The long-term operation of existing nuclear power plants (NPPs) has already been accepted in many countries as a strategic objective to ensure adequate supply of electricity over the coming decades. Reliable tools are needed in order to estimate the remaining useful lifetime of NPP components. The objective of the multinational research project NOMAD is the development, demonstration and validation of a non-destructive evaluation (NDE) tool for the local and volumetric characterisation of the embrittlement in operational reactor pressure vessels.

NOMAD has received funding from the Euratom research and training programme 2014-2018 under grant agreement № 755330.
