This practical focuses on the study and formulation of **Sunscreen**, a topical cosmetic product designed to protect the skin from the harmful effects of ultraviolet (UV) radiation. Sunscreens help prevent sunburn, premature skin aging, and reduce the risk of skin cancer by absorbing, reflecting, or scattering UVA and UVB rays. They are available in different dosage forms such as creams, lotions, sprays, and gels.

Students will learn:

The types of UV radiation and their effects on skin health

The formulation components and their specific roles in UV protection
The concept of SPF (Sun Protection Factor) and its clinical importance
