Episode 2 begins as all great battles do: in silence, with tension so thick you could swat it. Boney and Sable lock into the patented™ Mutual Stare of Doom™, as Boney loads up a fully weaponized Stinkeye™. Sable, in a moment of sheer idiocy (or perhaps suicidal bravery?), nips her. Just barely touches her.
The Audacity.
Boney responds with the fury of ten lifetimes: snarling, flailing, righteous indignation in feline form. There is no mercy. There is only rage and disgust. It ends almost before it begins.
Then — a beat. A pause. Another 30 seconds of furious… nothing. Boney emits low-budget sound effects: part growl, part throat-clearing, all menace. Finally, her paws fly again in a brief flurry of ninja slaps.
And just as things are peaking…
Boney jumps down.
Just walks off. No exit monologue. No flair. Nothing. Sable, baffled but shameless, stands there like he won. He didn’t. Or did he??? Is Boney losing her touch? Say it isn’t so!
Don’t worry. It’s only Episode 2.
Season 2 has claws left to unsheathe.
