The statement made by President Muhammadu Buhari that says that 90% of the victims of Boko haram insurgents are Muslims is causing a little back and forth as some religious societies are having a bickering over the declaration. The Christian Association of Nigeria CAN had previously rebutted the claim, but then the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) hit back at CAN over its response. However, CAN insisted that the NSCIA could not exonerate Boko Haram as an Islamic organization.
