In this video I share my experience with my cat's heart disease which is a variant of HCM referred to as HOCM.
As part of my cat's care, he takes medications which are diuretics that cause dehydration which can themselves cause further complications such as severe constipation. In This video, I discuss how I worked with our vets to find the right lower-sodium diet for my cat as well as sharing other aspects of the journey of dealing with my cat's illness.
HCM is Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy.
HOCM is the "obstructive" variant of HCM.
HOCM is Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy.
