Having waited for someone to make a compressed block mod for 1.8, I decided to make it myself. This is version 1.4.0 and it contains Compressed Blocks of cobblestone, dirt, sand, coal, gravel and flint. The coal blocks are both an excellent source of fuel and a progression path towards a stack of diamonds. The gravel blocks can be harvested to yield 90% chance lower tier gravel blocks and 10% chance lower tier flint blocks.
