Anna Kowal, Head of Agenda at the International Congress of Polish Student Societies, joins us to outline the mission of the Congress which is to bring together ambitious Polish students from around the world to help them realize the opportunities that await them back in Poland.
Under the motto “Opening Horizons, Fostering Unity,” the event focuses on building community and creating real links between young people, business, politics, and culture. This year’s Congress in Milan features discussions on security, culture, politics and – for the very first time – sport and mental health.
Kowal says organizing the event is an all-hands-on-deck effort, with students themselves managing it all, from logistics to inviting high-profile speakers. She hopes initiatives like this one will encourage more young Poles living abroad to consider returning home and helping shape the country's future.
