The polytunnel has exploded – tomatoes, melons, birdhouse gourds and more are everywhere! I’m harvesting my first French beans of the season, training the grapevine, and showing you how I tackled a DIY garden fence (yes, with power tools!).

Not everything went to plan – the peas gave up early – but I’ll save the seeds for next year. This is real-life summer gardening: lush growth, honest wins and fails, and a peek at our farm life here in the Staffordshire countryside (Zone 8a).
