This is the official video of the song "The one who fought" from Dimi Rogers. The song is from their new album "It will get better" and was filmed at the Berner Puppentheater in Bern (Switzerland) by Christoph Salzmann. We are grateful that Karin Wirthner and Frank Demenga performed and played the puppets with the stage design from their programm "Thomi rettet das Meer".
All band members of the band Dimi Rogers are performing in the official video: Jeff (drums), Rolli (lead guitar), Roger (bass) and Dimi (acoustic guitar & vocals), who wrote and composed the song.
“It Will Get Better” is the new album by Dimi Rogers - a deeply human and musically rich journey that blends slow, groovy rhythms with moments of raw and louder rock energy. The band explores a wide sonic range, from laid-back, earthy grooves to more powerful, driving sections, all recorded in an authentic analog style that preserves the warmth and depth of their sound. Adding a unique texture, the album features cello on three songs, giving the music an organic and emotional dimension that perfectly complements its mix of grit, groove and a decent portion of coolness as the sun goes down.....
Over more than three years, Dimi and his band - Roger Wüthrich (bass), Jeff Kneubühler (drums), Markus Mühlehof (electric guitars) and guest musicians including Andreas Kühnrich (cello, acoustic guitar) - have shaped a sound that feels both raw and refined. The result is a versatile mix of organic rock, a touch of surfer coolness, soulful depth, and a groove that feels alive.
Lyrically and emotionally, the album reflects on life’s ups and downs - on experience, fate, loss, and resilience - yet always circles back to lightness, freedom, and confidence in what lies ahead. It’s about looking back without regret, staying grounded, and believing that, indeed, it will get better.
Recorded in Switzerland, mixed by Olivier Izzo and mastered by Matthias Heimlicher, the album combines powerful musicianship with an intimate atmosphere. The album cover picture by Monika Buchen, “Little Pieces Pt. 1”, mirrors the album’s themes of fragmentation and renewal - pieces of a life that together form something whole.
“It Will Get Better” is more than just an album title - it’s a message: Honest, soulful, and full of life.
