In the New Testament, we read of Jesus' zeal (the virtue of being intensely motivated by loyalty to God).
In his zeal for God's house, He rid the Temple of those who preyed upon foreign Jews by charging them a hefty commission to change their money into the currency that the Temple would accept.
That intense godly motivation is known as zeal (the original Greek word means 'boiling').
As examples of this zeal, I refer to Phinehas in the Old Testament (Numbers 25) and, in the New Testament, John the Baptist (John 5:35), Stephen (Acts 6.7) and Paul (Acts 16 and Acts 19).
In conclusion, I provide modern-day examples of godly zeal.
