In this video, we work through two high-impact solubility curve problems that students frequently miss in Chemistry.
First, we determine how much of a compound can dissolve at a given temperature when the amount of water changes, using proportional reasoning based on solubility curves (grams of solute per 100 g of water).
Second, we analyze what happens to a saturated solution when temperature decreases and calculate how much solute precipitates out as solubility decreases.
These are essential skills for high school Chemistry, Pre-AP Chemistry, Intro to college Chemistry, and exam or test prep.
