Ava Iris SOCAN Compliance Statement (with AI vocals)
Ava Iris is a human-led music project created by Bryan Harris. All compositions registered with SOCAN under the Ava Iris name are human-authored works. This includes the lyrics, melodic design, song structure, harmonic choices, stylistic direction, arrangement decisions, and the overall artistic intention.
AI tools may be used in the creative workflow, including AI-generated vocal performances. An AI-generated vocal performance does not change the copyright status of the underlying composition. The registered work reflects human authorship and remains eligible for SOCAN registration as an original musical work.
No fully AI-generated songs or autonomous outputs are registered. Any AI elements are used strictly as tools that support or enhance the creative process under the direction of Bryan Harris. The final compositions originate from human skill, judgment, and expression.
Bryan Harris is responsible for authorship accuracy and rights ownership for all registered works. All Ava Iris compositions are created to comply with SOCAN’s guidelines for AI-assisted works and to qualify as copyright-protected musical compositions.
