President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. releases a video on December 1 to announce that Captain Jerome Jacuba – an army officer who turned blind from injuries sustained during a military operation – will not only be returned to service, but also promoted for his bravery.
Jacuba recently went viral after announcing his Complete Disability Discharge (CDD) from the military because of his injuries.
Marcos also says in a video released by the Palace that he has ordered the Defense Department to review its CDD policy.
The announcement comes amid the AFP leadership's continued rejection of "destabilization" calls as the Marcos admin faces its biggest corruption scandal yet.
