Philip Juma opened JUMA Kitchen in 2019 – after witnessing the lack of Iraqi influence in the London food scene, this self-taught chef decided to launch his own business selling the traditional Iraqi fare he was fed by his dad and aunties growing up.
“Being that bridge to introduce people to a cuisine that, let's be honest, as a country has been shrouded in negativity for the past 40 years…it's nice to bring a new dimension and image to a lesser known culture.”
