Many students come into The Golf Room and have the tendency to spin their shoulders and hips out too early. This causes the shaft to get too steep and from there you'll be forced to use hand manipulation through impact to square club face.

Ideally, you want to shift into your lead foot while staying patient at the top of the swing so you can let the club shallow and fall on plane. From this ideal on plane position, when your left arm is parallel to the ground, you are able to use your pivot (or body rotation) to square the club face though impact instead of relying on your hands to time it.
