Tennessee Wild Trout in the Upper Bald River Wilderness - Hike & Fish |

Описание: The Cherokee National Forest and the four wilderness areas that are nearby are a hidden gem in the eastern mountains of Tennessee. Wild Rainbow, Brown and Brook Trout inhabit these mountain watersheds as well as Rhododendron!

I put on the hiking boots and headed into the Upper Bald River Wilderness in search of some wild Rainbows and Brook Trout. It's certainly a trek to get there, passing the infamous Bald River Falls and the mighty Tellico River and into the sculpted mountain-side roads carved many years ago.

Many wild Rainbows were caught along the 5-mile round trip hike along with a few wild Brookies in one of the tributaries of the Bald River. Life is ticking...better get hiking and fishing!
