Took it out on a cold day and just ran the thing, didn't really have time to compare or do too much tuning. It actually ran pretty well, a change from where it was for certain. I did need to open the high speed jet around 1/4 turn more than where is was and the power did pick up as a result. Also had to close the low speed about an 1/8 turn from where it was before the changes, then it too idled like a lawn mower. NOT a usual thing for an X-Torq of any ilk! So it's power didn't change as much as I would have liked, but there are other issues at play. It's running characteristics absolutely did. I'm thinking it's ignition timing is a bit retarded from how it runs. While not the best thing for raw power, might explain the easy start and mellow running characteristics. Have to say while it's not as snappy as I hoped, its certainly a match of any OEM stock saw. And the power is solid especially at the lower RPM's, Again not something I would have predicted. It would easily handle a 24inch bar & chain in its current configuration. I may explore either a 24 or an 8 pin sprocket to take advantage of it's "new" personality.
I think it will get an unlimited ignition and an advance in timing ... just have a hunch...:)
