This hat is very warm because it has a double folded brim.
For the best result, I recommend using thinner yarn — otherwise the hat will turn out too thick and extra warm.
In this tutorial, I show how to crochet a hat from a diagonal square.
I start with two single crochet stitches and increase on both edges to form a triangle.
One side of the triangle equals your head circumference.
Then I reverse the process and decrease on both edges the same way as before.
Finally, I fold the brim twice to make it extra cozy.
This is a simple, beginner-friendly, hands-only tutorial.
You can easily adjust the size, and it works with any yarn weight (but thinner yarn gives the best shape)
