I'm going to go more in detail about how the socket quest works. The sockets depend on several different variables. First is the Item level. Item level determines a lot of things for items. Such as the strength of magical affixes for items. For example you could find a Magic item with 40% enhanced damage. With the item level of 20 as an example. Later in the game you could find the same item, but now it's an item level of 30. Now the enhanced damage has been increased to 50%. These are just example not actual data so, keep that in mind. This is because depending on the level of the Item. It equals to the Level of affixes and how strong they are. The Level 20 item has access to the affixes ranging from 1-20. While the Level 30 item is 1-30. So the higher the level the better the stats can be. most of the time...

Ok, but what does this have to do sockets though. Well the Item level depend on the monster you kill or the lootable object you get it from. In the case of the something like a chest it's based in the area level. If this wasn't already confusing as is for a new player lol. An enemy with the level of 30 Will always drop a item with the same level as them so, 30. That's why it take so long for people to find tyreal's Might. You have to kill monster of level 87. Other wise it won't drop. For the record in OG Diablo 2 LOD there's only like 5 Level 85 areas. Meaning you have to kill Champion packs, Elite monsters, and Boss monsters Like Baal and Diablo. Ok moving on.

The Crystal sword that can drop from the cows is always level 28. The max number of sockets it can have at this level is? 4, The exact amount I needed. for Spirit.

Spirit is an amazing rune word for caster's and it's cheap too. It requires Tal-Thul-Ort-Amn. This rune word gives such a massive boost. It gives +2 to all skills, 25-25% Faster casting speed. 55% Faster hit recovery, some Lighting, cold and Poison damage, 7% Life stolen per hit, 250 defense vs missiles, + 22 to vitality, 89-112 to mana, and 3-8 magic absorb, so Yeah really good.

I find the crystal sword I need after 27 Minutes or so. Now I just need to farm for the runes. I should mention I was Level here as well. I'm under leveled as is so more levels the better. I will say if you intend on playing this game yourself, and your a new player first off Hi. Second off play this game at your own pace. A ton of people will tell you you have to get to the end game as fast as possible or you don't need fight every enemy. Don't, take your time If you think you need to grind for gear and levels go for it. it's your character and playthrough at the end of the game.

These set items are dropping left and right I found a Infernal Cranium after a bit of a dry spill. I find a sol rune not too long after. I then use the Ort and Sol run to make Lore. it give +1 to all skills that's all you need to know. Lastly I found a Diomoa's Hew
