Pivot Mach 5.5 frame uses 10pcs of 6902E bearings. These deteriorate after months of muddy rides & washing, causing water ingress and corrosion of the bearings.
They can be replaced at home, but the re-assembly sequence has to be followed exactly. Not all bike technicians will assemble them in the required sequence, as it is not obvious that the drive side and non-drive side interference fits are not the same tolerance grade (very impressed with Pivot Cycle's engineering!).
