British and American intelligence have warned of increased Chinese government spying. They say that Beijing is engaged in hacking and espionage, aimed at stealing intellectual property from Western tech firms. China's foreign ministry has strongly condemned the allegations, firing back and saying that the US is hyping up the "China threat" due to their deep-rooted Cold War mentality. It claimed Britain's MI5 is merely instigating conflict.
