New Year Jump Start Pilates Chair Workout | Beginner Friendly
This chair workout will teach you how to keep your hips and pelvis stable while you engage your core and move your legs. You stabilize your lumbar (low) spine while you decompress your back and hip joints. The hips should not rock forward or back or teeter totter side to side during seated chair work.
Standing work be sure to avoid arching your back and learn safety tips on how to properly align your anatomical bony landmarks properly on the chair to set yourself up for success and keep you or your client from getting hurt.
A lot of this doesn't seem to be followed in some of the group classes. It's basic safety.
