"O you who believe, avoid much suspicion. Indeed, some suspicion is sin." (49:12)
Allah did not say all suspicion is wrong.
He said avoid much of it.
Because the heart that is always suspicious is a heart that is never at peace.
Bad opinion poisons relationships.
It turns friends into enemies.
It turns silence into evidence.
It turns innocent actions into accusations.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
Beware of suspicion, for suspicion is the most false of speech.
This verse is not just about how you see others.
It is about what lives inside you.
Because a heart full of bad opinion is a heart disconnected from mercy.
And a heart that assumes the best is a heart that reflects the character of the believer.
Ramadan is the month to cleanse the heart.
Not just from food, but from the toxic thoughts we carry about others.
