Описание: It's midnight and I just couldn't wait any longer to post the first full performance of SIGHT & SOUND Episode 4 - The Nikhil Korula Power Trio with Bob Malone and Gregg Wright. For the first song, since I opened my blues trio album, CROSSROADS, with it, I decided it would be awesome to open this episode with this funky little jam. I love funk music so much and instrumentals are such an incredibly hard thing to write because it's easy to over arrange or complicate, but for this funky song, I wanted to keep it simple and create a James Brown meets Stevie Ray Vaughan vibe. I absolutely love playing with my blues trio, but when you get to add a horn section and a Hammond organ, it just feels like the music will never stop. I can't wait for you all to hear all the full performances from this episode, but if this song doesn't make you boogie, then maybe you need some new dancing shoes. ;)
