Eldritch Blast is a massive fuzz built around a powerful, touch-sensitive octave/intermodulation generator. It is a sound so sinister that it could have only come from the outer gods...

Development on Eldritch Blast started over a year ago. It is an expanded take on the EAE Magic Missile Fuzz, an open source design which is an homage to the modern classic fuzzes of Devi Ever. John from EAE and Alec from Mask Audio Electronics (MAE) teamed up to fine-tune the design, and came up with a result which significantly diverged from the original Magic Missile design. The end result is a truly evil sound, fitting for a Halloween release.

Controls:
Gain - Controls amount of gain and low frequencies at input
More - Controls amount of signal feeding octave circuit
Tone - Active peaking filters working on the highs and midrange simultaneously
Bass - Active peaking filter centered around 100 Hz
Volume - Loudness amount
Splat - Shifts the response and gating of the transistor stages
Response- Changes transistors in the octave generator
Freq (Trimpot) - changes the midrange frequency from 400 Hz to 1300 Hz
Right footswitch - bypass
Left footswitch - EQ on/off

The brilliant chaos of Devi Ever fuzzes inspired me greatly in my early pedal building days, and thus our timing is bittersweet—I am saddened by the recent news of her departure from the industry. A share of profits from this run will be donated to No More Dysphoria and Trans Lifeline. It’s a small gesture of appreciation to someone whose unique approach changed the pedal world forever.
