Описание: Black and Latino folx in Richmond and many other cities around the country often suffer from the same racial, health and economic inequities. Though there are several similarities, there are also many differences in the experiences and needs of both communities. In this 75-minute virtual lunch discussion hosted by Richmond Racial Equity Essays, panelists Tanya González (Sacred Heart Center), Lea Whitehurst-Gibson (Virginia Community Voice) and Alfonso Perez Acosta (Artist), will explore the past and present challenges and some of the current and future opportunities impacting their work within and across Black and Latino communities in Richmond’s Southside. We will try to answer the questions of “what is the work we can do together?” and “how can we support one another in creating a more racially equitable city?”
