From an abandoned jail to a high-tech Museum of the Future: “From the ashes of despair, Miami MoCAAD, a museum of the future, will bring hope, creativity and innovation.”
Instead of walking past an abandoned jail every day, students and the Booker T. Washington Senior High School community will be able claim a welcoming Miami MoCAAD as their art home; will participate in creating interactive high tech art experiences; tech focused work internship opportunities; art learning and art making opportunities; ARt+Tech Workshops.
Miami MoCAAD's physical museum has the potential to become a pilgrimage destination for the Global African Diaspora; a bucket list destination for all in the African Diaspora, from Homestead to Tallahassee, the nation, Canada, the Caribbean, Latin America, Central America, Europe and Africa.
