Mayor Andy Street launches the Rail Training Centre at the City of Wolverhampton College

Описание: Andy Street, the Mayor of the West Midlands speaks to Peter Haddock at the launch of the new 'Rail Training Centre' at the City of Wolverhampton College.

In this first of six interviews from the launch day, supported by Sunbelt Rentals UK, Andy highlights the importance of continued investment in skills for our region.

It's not the first time Peter and Andy have met at the College, which now boasts state-of-the-art Rail, Electric Vehicle (EV) and Plant training facilities.

In this interview, they also talk about the importance of collaborating with the private sector and how the West Midlands Combined Authority is playing a key role in developing industry partnerships.

Andy: "What it's ultimately all about is job creation. There are opportunities here at the college to train in practical growing industries that are delivering key projects like HS2 (High Speed Two) Ltd"
