While the general knowledge and reasoning capabilities of general-purpose large language models, exemplified by ChatGPT, continue to improve, their performance in tasks requiring specialized knowledge remains insufficient. For industrial applications of generative AI, the key challenge moving forward is how to teach these models industry-specific knowledge and internal company information. This presentation will introduce examples of generative AI utilization for design and development within Daikin, followed by a discussion on the necessity of continuous pre-training for an air conditioning-specialized LLM and its development strategy.

ChatGPTに代表される汎用の大規模言語モデルの一般知識と推論能力は向上し続けている一方、専門知識を必要とする業務における性能はまだ不十分であり、産業向けの生成AI応用においては、業界知識や社内情報をどのように学ばせるかが今後の鍵となる。本講演では、ダイキン社内における設計開発向け生成AI活用の事例を紹介したあと、空調特化LLMに向けた継続事前学習の必要性とその開発方針について述べる。
