Frickley parkrun - a windy Saturday morning run. Alternative course, do I know which way to go?

It’s Saturday the 20th of January, a normal Saturday but in the running world otherwise known as… parkrun day! Today brings Frickley parkrun, and perhaps the most friendliest parkrun in the whole world.
With an attendance record of 308, they’ve only broke 100 attendees 22 times out of their 187. The 308 was their inaugural run! It’s small, it’s personal, it has a community run cafe. What else do you want?
The course runs on a colliery stack, nowadays known as a country park. The terrain is a gravel surface, easier on the legs always the opportunity to run on the grass. It has become some what of a local favourite? I even hold the unofficial course record here! I’ve run around here 8 times now so I wouldn’t exactly call it parkrun tourism anymore.
We have the Brass Monkey Half marathon over in York tomorrow so an easy run was on the cards, as I tootle around with the GoPro in hand.
