WATCH: Here we are with another update, showing where we are with the Deep Creek Bridge Replacement Project! The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) will begin implementing a new traffic pattern on the eastbound side of the Deep Creek Bridge (Moses Grandy Trail, near George Washington Highway) in Chesapeake, Virginia, starting Friday, November 1, 2024.
To safely establish this new pattern and temporary pavement markings, USACE’s contractor will conduct overnight lane closures on Moses Grandy Trail, near George Washington Highway South, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. One lane will remain open in each direction during the day, ensuring continued traffic flow while we work to improve this vital infrastructure.
Safety remains our top priority as we progress with this project. USACE is dedicated to minimizing impacts on local traffic while ensuring a safe environment for both engineers and the community. Please follow all posted signage and stay cautious while driving through the area. Thanks for your patience as we work to bring you a better, safer bridge!
