I’m Himanshu Tripathi, and today we’re going to start Chapter 6 – Lines and Angles from your Class 7 NCERT Maths book.
We’ve already studied about angles in Class 6, but now we’ll explore how two angles form different pairs like adjacent, complementary, and supplementary angles.

🔹 What is an Angle?

An angle is formed when two rays meet at a common point.
That common point is called the vertex of the angle, and the two rays are called its arms.
👉 Example: In ∠AOC, OA and OC are the arms, and O is the vertex.

🔹 6.1 Pairs of Angles

A pair of angles means a combination of two angles.
There are five types of angle pairs:

1. Adjacent angles


2. Linear pair angles


3. Complementary angles


4. Supplementary angles


5. Vertically opposite angles
