Описание: Lucy the Elephant is America's oldest roadside attraction. It's a giant, 66 foot, 90 ton statue of an elephant located on the New Jersey shore near Atlantic City. Lucy was built in 1881 and has been a tourist attraction for many years. Recently, Lucy was almost condemned in favor of building beach side condos. Luckily, a major grassroots fund raising effort has kept Lucy alive and has made it a National Landmark. This story tells about the life of Lucy the Elephant, as we go inside and meet the curators, the visitors, and tell Lucy's story.
