On October 9, ActionAid Ghana held its first Strategic Partners Forum in Accra to promote its purpose, leverage resources, and make a positive effect.
The forum was arranged to reinforce and foster stronger partnerships and alliances with current and potential donor partners, as well as state and non-state developmental players.
The forum, among other things, sought to assess gaps and opportunities for effectively improving interventions to strengthen people's and communities' resilience to climate change shocks through sustainable agriculture and alternative livelihood opportunities, improve access to gender-responsive public services, and create an equal-opportunity society.
The forum, titled "Mobilising Support for Sustainable Development Alternatives," attracted development organisations and state institutions from Ghana and beyond . ActionAid Ghana also reiterated the goal of the new Country Strategy Paper VII, outlining priorities that donors and partners can collaborate for projects and programmes.
