Paignton Family Holiday 2025 - Paignton, Steam Train, Zoo and Torquay

On the 9th June 2025 we drove down to Paignton, where we stayed in a holiday lodge within the Beverley Holidays Holiday Park.

Whilst there we visited Paignton Seafront, visited Paignton Pier, the children played on Paignton Beach and we took a stroll into Paignton Town Centre to see what was going on.

We also paid for the Paignton Steam Train, Ferry and Cruise excursion. Which starts off by taking the scenic route down into Dartmouth with a 5-minute ferry over to Dartmouth itself. We then caught the 1-hour cruise boat up the River Dart, before heading back for our return journey back into Paignton.

Then one day we drove to Paignton Zoo and took a good look around what animals were living there. Including lions, tigers, meerkats, giraffes, monkeys etc.

Finally we caught the bus into Torquay, having a walk around the marina and local shops and cafe's.

Whilst there we ate out every night at the many pubs and restaurants around the Torbay area, swam in both the indoor and outdoor pool at Beverley Holidays, enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and drinking a few drinks in the entertainment complex.

Overall we really enjoyed out time in Paignton, and recommend it to anyone who would like to go. :-)
