Hostage At Home: Man Battles Controlling & Manipulative Girlfriend!

Описание: On November 23rd, 2023, officers in Ohio responded to a disturbance at a local residence. Officers had previously responded to the residence to conduct a welfare check on the male resident following concerns from his mother about a woman staying with her son and that he had not been in contact with his family. During the check, officers spoke with the male resident, who was with the woman, explaining that his absence was due to a lost phone.

The situation escalated when the officers were called back to the residence later that day. The resident’s mother reported that her daughter had been to the residence and learned the woman staying there had taken a laptop and a phone from her son and refused to return them. Upon questioning, the woman initially claimed the items were jointly owned, then denied having them. Her behavior grew increasingly aggressive despite repeated requests from officers to calm down. The woman continued to disrupt the investigation, attempting to speak to the male resident while officers spoke with him.

In the apartment, the male resident located his belongings in the woman’s possession, stating to officers he had not given them to her. When asked to leave the residence, the woman continued to yell and resist officers' instructions, prompting another resident to call 9-1-1. The suspect was placed under arrest as she resisted officers, attempting to kick the officers and wedge herself into stair railings. After eventually being secured in a hobble restraint, officers placed her in the patrol car for transport to jail. The suspect was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest.
