This is a telephone recording of Orange mis selling a 24 month phone contract. Up dated video showing Orange customer service refusal to cancel a contract without charge after miss selling a contract.

In March 2013, Orange wrote to customers stating that they will be increasing prices of fixed mobile phone contracts. Some Orange / EE customers have been miss sold fixed mobile phone contracts like this one - by Orange / EE assuring customers that there will be no extra charges or changes to the contract during its term (24 months) -- then increasing prices mid term into the contract. In this case, only 6 months into the contract. Orange has been adamant that the only way to end the contract is to pay the cancellation charge.

In further conversations which have been recorded - Orange representatives have stated that "they do not send out copies of the terms and conditions to customers because they are long and long winded" and that "OFCOM have agreed the increase in charges". When pushed and asked if OFCOM had agreed the practice of miss selling contracts orange representative began avoiding the question or refusing to comment. Further conversations will be uploaded shortly.

The conversation has been edited down because it is rather long with lots of time on hold listening to cheesy music -- most Orange / EE customers will be familiar with this.

Do not trust Orange / EE -- their customer service is appalling:
You will spend most of your time on hold and they consistently fail to resolve issues.
They have frequently overcharged me.
They do not ring back when they promise to do so.
They have a clear and blatant disregard for long term loyal customers.
The orange 'everything everywhere' / EE network is crap, frequently dropping signal (when you can find a signal).

Choice quote from Orange customer services: "T&Cs (Terms and conditions) are very, very long winded and we don't actually send out a copy of T&Cs with a customer contract"

Darren Gray from the Executive Office, EE has stated in an email:

"I was sorry to hear of your recent complaint, and that you were not satisfied with the resolution offered by the Operations Manager you spoke to.

Although I am sorry for any misunderstanding, after listening to the call recording you have posted, I do not believe that you were mis-sold your current agreement with Orange. If you wished to leave Orange due to our upcoming price increase, you would incur an early cancellation fee. At the moment, this fee would be £526.99, however, this fee will decrease as you grow closer to the end of your minimum term agreement with us....."
