In this video I go over how I made a functional pouch and spell book for my Taako cosplay! The same method can be used for other costumes, or for larp!
Carrying around a backpack or purse at a con can be such a pain, especially if it doesn't fit with your costume. I decided to make myself a functional foam pouch that would fit my phone, money, and any cards/flyers/small trinkets I would pick up at the con! As you can see it fits onto the belt perfectly, and has plenty of room to hold my stuff. Unfortunately, it did break after one wear, as the foam strap where it attached to my belt was no sturdy enough. To fix this, I suggest using a strap reinforced with worbla or another thermoplastic. That would give the added strength needed to hold the pouch, and the rest of the process remains the same!
I also very briefly go over tea staining, and the method I used to weather the pages of my spellbook!
