Season 01: Episode 15 "Fear": While driving back to Santa Fe, Sam and Tess see an ancient property that was ravaged by rogue Indians a few months ago. He tells Tess that she is safe because the Indians had already left. But Sam doesn't know that there is another threat nearby. He finds out about it when Tess falls into an ancient well and he has to go for aid. He gets into more problems because the man he begs for aid dislikes Apaches!

Michael Ansara starred in the Western TV show Law of the Plainsman, which ran on NBC from October 1, 1959, to September 22, 1960.

The iconic ABC Western TV show The Rifleman, starring Chuck Connors, featured the character of Native American Deputy U.S. Marshal Sam Buckhart in two episodes: "The Indian" and "The Raid." Four Star Productions and Levy-Gardner-Laven Productions worked together to make this show, just like they did with The Rifleman.

Law of the Plainsman is unique because it was one of the few TV shows at the time that had a Native American as the main character. This was a big move for American network television at the time. Ansara has previously acted in the show Broken Arrow, when he played the Apache chief Cochise. But Ansara was not Native American; he was of Syrian heritage.
