I wanted bigger display for 20% gaming and 80% work for reasonable price.
I got:
27" vs 24"
1440p vs 1080p
70Hz (FreeSync) vs 144Hz (No sync=moderate tearing)
6-bit (+ok dithering) tn vs 6-bit (+noticeable dithering) tn
good colors (backlight) vs not so good colors (blueish backlight, in this video blue is down to 80%)
1ms vs 1ms
"Good for 50% work and 50% gaming/adult content" vs "Good for 40%work and 60% gaming"
DP1.2, DVI, HDMI vs DVI,HDMI, vga
2016 vs 2012
Non glossy both

CS:GO settings for FreeSync to work @ 70Hz: fps_max 70 and enable V-Sync OR
In 'Radeon settings'->'Profile'-> Frame Rate Target Control" -> 140FPS, in CS:GO fps_max 70 and disable V-Sync (less input lag)
CS:GO settings for xl2411T to work @ 144Hz: fps_max 145 disable V-Sync
In CS:GO, 70Hz is good for up to MGE level and 1-2 hour play in the row, while with 144Hz I can do LE and play 4 hour continuously.
If I play 4 hours a day on 1440p@70Hz then on the third day I get headache. It may well be because of large screen or more pixels
but my first bet is on low refresh rate. No, the screen does not flicker but, while the panning is smooth 70Hz, the moving players are drawn in side the game like 60Hz. That micro stuttering may well be the main cause of stressing my brain and eyes. I did of-cause direct test while I had 1080p@144Hz monitor and although XL2411T @1080p looked really bad then the second thing I felt
is how smooth the players move @144Hz and how relaxing it was to my eyes. But as I said, it's maybe individual (I have 40 yrs old eyes), you eyes may adopt faster.
RX 480 just barely reaches that 70Hz on modern games high settings (BF1, GTAV so on) .
end.
Radeon drivers used: v16.12.1 (latest that work fastest for me).
While monitor DP drivers max out @70Hz I enabled 75Hz by using CRU by ToastyX (donated). In "Display properties" increased range limits 70Hz -> 75Hz and added "Extension blocks" (copy from 70Hz) upped refresh rate to 75 and lowered "Front porch" to 25 vertical lines, so that "Pixel clock" is @ 292.82MHz.
Monitor refresh rate limit in any resolution is 75.2Hz before "out of range".
Off cause you do not difference this 7% increase but mentally u know it's little bit better now.
