Private detective Lin was anonymously entrusted to investigate rich merchant Zhao. He and his assistant Xiao Li found that Zhao had connections with the mysterious woman Wang. The handkerchief left by Wang led to clues about an underground smuggling gang from years ago. After realizing that he was being investigated, Zhao sent bodyguards to attack them. They found a safe with the same symbol engraved on it at Wang's residence.
After opening it, they learned that Zhao had been involved in smuggling for a long time and that Wang was being hunted down because she wanted to break away from it. Detective Lin and Xiao Li confronted Zhao with the evidence. Zhao tried to argue and resist.
At the critical moment, the police arrived and arrested Zhao and his men in one fell swoop, uncovering the truth and allowing justice to be served.
