Delhi Draft Voter List Released: 47.56 Lakh Names Missing | How To Check & File Claims

Описание: The Election Commission has released the draft electoral roll in Delhi following the completion of the third phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR).

Out of Delhi’s 1.45 crore voters, forms of 97.5 lakh voters—around 67.16%—have been digitised. The Tughlakabad and Okhla Assembly constituencies recorded the lowest number of digitised forms.

According to the draft figures, around 47.56 lakh voters are currently missing from the electoral roll under categories including absent, shifted, dead, duplicate and others.

However, voters need not panic. Being left out of the draft electoral roll does not mean permanent deletion. Eligible voters will get a month-long window to file claims and objections and request the inclusion of their names.

The final electoral roll is scheduled to be published on November 4. Voters are urged to check their names and those of their family members and file claims or objections if any eligible voter is missing.
