Left 4 Dead 2 mods have been out in the wild since 2009, when the zombie-killing co-op shooter first released. 11 years on, the Left 4 Dead mods have kept on coming, and like a rogue AI threatening our very way of life, there’s no stopping them now.

In this video you’ll find the best Left 4 Dead 2 mods and the worst Left 4 Dead 2 mods. There’s a mod that spawns plane crashes, a mod that adds a WWE ring to survival mode, a mod giving characters Coronavirus face masks, and even a mod that tasks you with protecting the pearly gates of heaven from an onslaught of skeletons.

If you can think it, you can mod it! But not without first learning how to mod and then implementing that mod into the game. For instance, I have thought of several mods, but they didn’t appear in the game. I learned the hard way that you have to actually make them. They don’t just jump out of your brain and onto the screen. It’s very annoying.

To download these mods for yourself, head to the Steam Workshop. They’re all free. Just search what you want, then click the green ‘subscribe’ button, and they’ll be automatically added to your game. With new and official Left 4 Dead 2 content releasing recently in the Left 4 Dead 2 Last Stand update, now’s a great chance to test the limits of your RAM and sanity with a whole bunch of left4dead2 mods.
