Looking into early 2026, Soloway expects no “massive parabolic rally” in 2025, but rather a grinding corrective phase that could carve out a durable low in the first part of 2026, setting the stage for the next structural bull phase later on. For altcoins and the broader crypto market, he is even more cautious, seeing them as higher-beta expressions of the same fear-driven cycle, likely to underperform BTC on downside moves.
On the macro side and stocks, Gareth remains concerned about overvaluation in AI and big tech, arguing that the AI trade has driven an unsustainably large share of S&P 500 gains and leaves the index vulnerable to a 10–15% correction if sentiment breaks. He connects this to the same emotional backdrop: investors crowded into a narrow group of winners, then scrambled for the exits when volatility spikes.
Gold , in his view, is the quiet winner of this environment. He sees any near-term dips as opportunities within a larger bullish structure, with a base case that spot could ultimately push toward 5,000 by 2026 after a possible interim pullback to around 3,500. Central-bank buying, sticky inflation, and the likelihood of eventual Fed easing all feed into that thesis.
